The PINK drive

After the savage antics of the so called moral police whose objective was to blatantly rape all morals behind democracy,has started the campaign to save feb 14th.And how are they
doing it?By the alms-giving of "pink scanties" to the sene chief.

For which the outrageously flagrant sene chief is going to be returning
pink sarees.And has also claimed to get all dating couples in karnataka married!!

So now its just got down to pink scanties vs pink sarees.

 Now what really has been bothering me is not the campaign but the color chosen for the campaign.
Pink ,the color of warmth,affection and a color strongly associated with contemporary girlhood,
the color of joy and happiness which was once upon a time allowed to be garmented only by the
elites of the elizibethan era.Its quintessentially a color of celebration.

I fail to figure out the association of pink with this agitation!Is it like a drive to save girls
or culture or praxis ??

firstly i wouldnt associate pink with warmth and affection-there are warmer colors around and surely many more cheerful ones.
I thought V-day was always abt red.Isnt pink always associated with the Breast Cancer campaign?As for the pink "scanties",guess they'd think he would be at threat if they gifted him red ones!!

I fail to see whats the big deal with any color ,for that matter.Would the message they're trying to send to the Sena, change, if they sent, I dunno, blue "scanties" ??....

@vikas
then y didnt they choose blue??

If you really want to read into the color(which i dont want to ),i suppose pink represents femininity sensuality,gentleness,etc,etc..... but once again ,i prefer not to because its pointless..... the Shiv sena guy who opens these packages wont be going "Oh, they sent us pink ones instead of blue ones....that must mean something".
what I really mean is, these insensitive sena people are as good as color blind.

y do u think v hav
BLACK ribbon campaign for free online speech

PINK Ribbon has become an international symbol of hope and awareness in the
fight against breast cancer

PURPLE ribbon campaign for rape awareness

the WHITE knot ribbon campaign for marriage euality??

y is everyone going GREEN instead of going environment frenly???

It is my belief, that what the ribbon stands for, what message it is tryin to send, is far more important than what color it is made of.
lets just say
"The WHite Ribbon stood for breast cancer awareness
Black ribbon campaign for rape awareness

the PINK knot ribbon - campaign for marriage equality "

would you have then seen these issues any different to the way you're seeing them now?? I wouldnt.......
Color is just used as a means of association to the issue and does not represent the issue itself.

@vikas
every color is attributed wid certain qualities...if theyd chosen black instead of pink for breast cancer campaign it wud've been lik its a drive against em n not for em!!

id agree with roobs..definately symbols n colors do represent the issues we talk of,!!a red cross is for the red cross society,a tied red knot for aids awareness,red is attractive and attention seeking..Now thinking of why 'Pink Scanties' id jus put it this way,thats its the best way of silently mocking this really stupid tots of jobless people who can do something productive for the nation!!
